I have a love for science, especially biology. That is why I obtained a BS degree in biology from Emory University. Following graduation, I started working at Hackensack Medical Center in the Emergency Department as a research associate. I am an integral part of getting patients enrolled in public health studies. I also spent time tutoring students in all areas of science, as well as English and reading. I have a profound appreciation for science, technology, engineering, and math - all subjects in STEM education. I also believe that reading and writing are of critical importance in the learning process as well. I work with students on all aspects of their work, including current homework, preparing for what will be coming, and discussing life experiences. Students need to not just be told what to learn, but why they are learning it and how it applies to everyday life. In my subjects, learning one concept is just a small part of a larger concept they will be learning down the road. Students need to be able to understand that small concepts compound into larger ones.When I have a bit of free time, I spend it exercising, playing soccer, reading, and watching sports. I find that these are all good pastimes to wind down at the end of the workday or workweek.
